Deliveroo partnered with the popular British television variety show Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. In this context, Deliveroo asked us to promote the partnership and to highlight their collaboration with six new restaurants on this occasion.
We wanted the game to be addictive and fun for the forty-year-old Londoners and their kids that Deliveroo was targeting, so we took our inspiration from this 80s-90s classic, Paperboy, which was a big hit back then. We were sure our game would ring a bell.
In this new version, the player dodges obstacles and catches food bags in front of restaurants in order to deliver them to the Saturday Night Takeaway stage. We’ve also reproduced a 45-degree-angle viewpoint, just like in the original game – a ground-breaking method at the time!
After playing, the user could register for a chance to win a prize draw. Our Paperboy hit a score of 30 % of personal data recorded!
